Gerhard Watzinger
Chief Executive Officer
Gerhard Watzinger joined SafeBoot in 2004 and is our Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Watzinger formerly worked at iGate Global Solutions (formerly Mascot Systems) from 1998 to 2004, where he joined as a vice president and subsequently became chief executive officer. During this period he worked on building the company’s outsourcing and offshore businesses to several thousand employees. Prior to that, he served as chief executive officer of APT for seven years, managing consultant in PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting division for two years and as a managing director for Cap Gemini International for over six years.

Piet Weijers
Chief Financial Officer
Piet Weijers joined SafeBoot in 2003 and is our Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Weijers studied Finance and Accounting Studies and General Management at INSEAD Fontainebleau. He served as director of his own interim management company, Piet Weijers Interim Management, from 2000 to 2003, and in 1999 was a vice president and chief financial officer of Coty Inc. Prior to that, he spent 22 years at Digital Equipment Corporation (which included six years as the director of financial operations of EMEA), two years at Hotelplan International Travel Organization, six years at Philips Electronics N.V. and six years at ABN AMRO.

Simon Hunt
Chief Technology Officer
Simon Hunt joined Fischer International in 1997 and is our Chief Technology Officer. He oversees our product suite and global consultancy teams. Mr. Hunt received his B.Sc from the University of North Wales. Before joining us, Mr. Hunt worked with other security product vendors, including Mergent International and Utimaco Safeware from 1996 to 1997, and was responsible for engineering training and consumer product support at ICL Computer Systems from 1993 to 1996.

Marco Versteijne
Company Secretary
Marco Versteijne is responsible for our global corporate and legal affairs and serves as the secretary of our Management Board and Supervisory Board. He has been with SafeBoot since 2000. In the 17 years prior to joining us, Mr. Versteijne held a variety of management positions, including that of client services director at Ogilvy One, manager communication & analysis at Intergamma, head of corporate market research & planning at PolyGram, and assistant professor at Tilburg University. Mr. Versteijne holds an MBA degree from the University of Groningen.

Eric D. Sommerton
Vice President Marketing
Eric Sommerton has served as SafeBoot’s vice president of global marketing since 2004. Mr. Sommerton is responsible for the strategy, tactics and programs to create interest, demand and recognition for SafeBoot and its products through the use of PR, product marketing, creative services and the management of strategic relationships. Prior to SafeBoot, Sommerton was worldwide vice president of marketing at Allen Systems Group, Inc. (ASG), a software and services provider, for nearly six years.

Rudolfo R. Cifolelli
President, North America
Rudolfo R. Cifolelli joined SafeBoot in July 2005, and has led the North American division to consecutive years of above-target annual sales performances. Prior to SafeBoot, Rudy’s career includes Vice President Sales for Aretech, an IT services firm; Regional Vice President for Computer Associates Southfield, Michigan sales team; sales roles with The Genix Group (now known as ACS) and Compuware Corporation. Rudy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University.

Jan van Vliet
Vice President, EMEA
Jan van Vliet has served as our Vice President EMEA since 2006 and is responsible for the EMEA sales out of all EMEA countries. Prior to that, Mr. Van Vliet built up our business in Benelux, France and the Scandinavian countries after joining us in early 2001. Before joining us, Mr. Van Vliet was a member of the managing board of an IT consultancy company called Devote Data Management BV in The Netherlands. Prior to that, he served as a Senior IT consultant with Devote Data Management and before that with Digimaster Informatica BV with a background in networks and encryption. Van Vliet has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry and has extensive expertise in IT consulting. Van Vliet holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Delft University of Technology. His Master’s thesis was on Data Encryption.

Siebe de Graad
Director Channel Management
Siebe de Graad is our director of channel management and is responsible for worldwide channel sales. After joining us in 2000, Mr. De Graad established much of our global channel structure. Before joining us, Mr. De Graad managed export operations with several organizations and became specialized in channel sales and setting up distributor networks. Prior to that, he was a sole proprietor of his own trading company for nearly a decade.

Frank Jorissen
Vice President, International Business Development
Frank Jorissen has joined Safeboot in 2004 as our Vice President International Business Development. Mr. Jorissen holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Leuven and a Business Administration degree. Mr. Jorissen’s team defines and manages SafeBoot’s strategic alliance partnership programs (OEM, ASP, technology partnerships). Mr. Jorissen started as cryptographic researcher at Leuven University and now has 23 years experience in the ICT Security industry, having held senior management positions at Utimaco.

Paul Parke
Vice President of Products and Development
Paul Parke is our Vice President of Products and Development and leads our research and development and product management sections. Mr. Parke has over 18 years experience in the IT security industry and worked with us from 1993 to 1997 as Product Manager responsible for launching our product suite worldwide. Mr. Parke rejoined us in 2006 and was promoted to Vice President in May 2007. During the intervening years, Mr. Parke worked in a number of management roles, including the business unit of Baltimore Technologies Inc.

Tony Jennings
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships
Tony Jennings is our Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and is responsible for building our OEM business. He joined us in 2005 as Vice President of Government Sales, in which position he was responsible for developing the government business sales strategy globally. Mr. Jennings has over 12 years experience in IT security business, prior to joining us Mr. Jennings worked for IT security product companies developing the sales and technical strategies.

Willem J. Groven
Vice President Finance
Willem Groven has been our Vice President Finance since May 2007 and is responsible for all of our operational finance, legal, HR and internal IT activities. He graduated with a degree in Business Economics from the Free University of Amsterdam. Prior to joining us, Mr. Groven worked at Atos Origin Nederland BV from 2001 where he set up and managed the Dutch Finance Shared Service Center and later served as CFO of its largest Dutch division. From 1988 to 2000 he held managerial roles at Digital Equipment BV, ultimately serving as finance and general manager of the European logistics operation in Nijmegen after the company’s merger with Compaq Computer. He also served as senior consultant at Ernst & Whinney.
